Jared Cross

Jared has been the owner and operator of Cross & Company since 2008.

Jared started his accounting career at the accounting firm of Evancic Perrault Robertson in Port Alberni, BC. He obtained his designation as a Certified General Accountant (C.G.A.) in 1999 and began working with a local Nanaimo C.G.A. firm. Later in 2002, he became a partner in that firm. In 2005, Jared joined Greg Sabo to form the partnership of Sabo, Cross & Co., serving Nanaimo, Parksville and Port Alberni. In 2008, Jared ventured out on his own to form his own firm, Cross & Company.

With over 20 years of experience, Jared is very knowledgeable in tax planning for all types and sizes of businesses. He assists clients in day-to-day operational management as well as long-term goal setting and achievement. He also is very well-versed in personal tax planning for individuals, proprietorships and partnerships. Jared provides specialized tax planning regarding incorporation, income splitting, corporate reorganizations, succession planning, the purchase and sale of businesses, and estate planning.

Jared is active in the community, including the Nanaimo Minor Hockey Association and the Nanaimo Minor Baseball Association. He has also previously sat on the Board of Directors for the Vancouver Island Symphony. Jared supports the local Vancouver Island University by providing internship opportunities, summer student positions, and employing many of their Business Administration graduates.
